Apple Loaf and Buttermilk Sauce

Apple Loaf

  • 3 cups flour ( sifted 3 times )
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
    ( this in one bowl )

  • 1 1/4 cup Wesson Oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 raw apples, peeled and cut up fine
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins

    Mix all together with flour mixture. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Put into cold oven. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes.

    ( 2 5x7 loaf pans )



    Buttermilk Sauce

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
